The District Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor, since yesterday (04.12.2017), is formally a partner of USAID's Justice Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). After the ceremonial signing of the Prosecutor's Partnership Agreement in Prijedor, this newly established prosecutor's office in BiH has become one of a total of 19 prosecutors’ offices in BiH which are beneficiaries of the project’s assistance, which focuses on strengthening their capacities to work on cases of corruption, economic and organized crime.

"Although our prosecutor's office was formed only this year, each prosecutor on average already has between 700 and 900 cases of various types waiting to be resolved. For this very reason, we are very pleased that from now on we will have the support of the Project, especially with regards to cases of corruption, economic and organized crime" said Mladen Mitrovic, the chief prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor.

He added that one of the priorities of this prosecutor's office is building citizens' confidence in the work of judicial institutions, and expressed hope that the cooperation with the Justice Project will make the work of this PO more efficient and its results more visible.
